Soft zirconia disc Fervi DF9108.112

What it is

The Fervi DF9108.112 soft zirconia disc is a flexible abrasive measuring 115x22 mm with a 40 grit, suited to the more aggressive rough grinding and finishing operations. The zirconia compound ensures good aggressiveness and durability, while the permitted maximum speed of 13300 rpm allows its use on standard angle grinders. The disc complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, with CE marking, and weighs 0.10 kg.

A flap disc is an abrasive made of overlapping cloth flaps, on a disc for angle grinders or on a shank for straight grinders, that roughs down and finishes metal and wood.

What it is for

Used for sanding metal, from roughing to finishing, for deburring metal after cutting and drilling and for grinding and cleaning up weld seams and burrs.

How to use it

Fit the disc on the angle grinder, or insert the shank-mounted flap wheel in the collet of the straight grinder or drill, observing the maximum speed. Work with light pressure at a slight angle, keeping the tool moving so as not to overheat or mark the workpiece. Progress from coarse to fine grits for finishing, and replace the disc when the cloth is worn down to the backing.
