What it is

Aluminium rivets. Key specifications: material Aluminium.

A rivet is a permanent fastener that, by deforming inside a through hole, joins sheet metal and sections or creates a threaded seat in thin sheet.

What it is for

Used for assembling steel structures and for mechanical fixing of structures and components to walls, ceilings and floors.

How to use it

Drill the workpiece to the diameter specified for the rivet and choose a length suited to the total grip thickness. Insert the rivet into the riveter's nosepiece, push it into the hole until the head is seated and operate the tool until the mandrel snaps or, with rivet nuts, the body is upset against the sheet. Choose a rivet material (aluminium, steel, stainless steel) compatible with that of the parts to prevent corrosion.
