The self-defence spray is a small personal defence canister that sprays an irritant jet, generally pepper-based, to repel an attacker.

What it is for

Used as personal protective equipment required by the risk assessment.

How to use it

Keep it within easy reach, with the safety device engaged, and check the expiry date and charge from time to time. If necessary, release the safety and direct the jet towards the attacker's face, at close range. Keep it away from children and do not use it as a toy: the product irritates the eyes and airways, including those of the person spraying it.
