What it is
The 110 cm balustrade with toe board by Svelt (eSvelt line) is a railing kit for mezzanines, 2 m long and 1.10 m high. It includes 3 painted steel posts with base plate, 2 anodised aluminium rails (handrail and intermediate tube), a painted steel toe board, caps and fixings for attaching it to Svelt mezzanines. The posts are spaced at most 1 m apart.
A permanent guardrail is a fixed aluminium or steel fall protection system, also with mesh panels, installed on roofs, edges, balconies and inspection pits.
What it is for
Used for fall protection, as part of a fall arrest or work restraint system and for protecting edges and corners.
How to use it
Check that the supporting structure (slab, parapet wall or roof) can bear the loads specified by the manufacturer. Assemble the posts, rails and toe boards following the manual and secure them with the specified anchors, leaving no gaps. Inspect the fixings and check for corrosion regularly, as required by the manufacturer.
