A chalk line is a tool that marks straight lines on floors and walls, with a line snapped in coloured chalk or with a marking wheel.
What it is for
Used for measuring on site and in the workshop and for marking out lines, dimensions and reference points before work begins.
How to use it
Fill the reservoir with chalk and shake it so the line is coated. Hook the end of the line at the starting point, stretch it to the end point, lift it in the middle and let it snap onto the surface. Guide marking wheels along a reference edge. After use, rewind the line dry.
