Marking Tools

Chalk line reels are used to mark straight, accurate lines on walls, floors, floor slabs and boards: a line wound inside a case is stretched between two points and snapped, leaving a trace of coloured chalk. They are everyday tools for bricklayers, tilers, carpenters and fitters.

Types of chalk line available

• ABS or aluminium case chalk lines, with line rewind, by Metrica, Pavan and Milwaukee
• Rubi line markers, with case and dedicated chalk
• Complete kits with chalk line and bottle of chalk powder
• Large-capacity chalk lines for long distances

How to choose a chalk line

Consider the length of the line, the strength of the case (aluminium withstands knocks on site better), the rewind speed and the fineness of the line. Choose the colour of the chalk according to the surface to be marked and always keep a spare supply.
