Pumps and Engine-Driven Pumps for Special Liquids
36 products · Pumps and Hydraulics
Special liquid pumps are designed to move fluids that an ordinary water pump cannot handle, such as diesel, oils and fuels, chemical or corrosive liquids, sludge and slurry. The collection mainly gathers transfer pumps and related accessories, from brands such as Fervi, Wortex and Efco, as well as A.M.E.S. models.
What you will find
- Transfer pumps lever-operated, foot-operated or drill-driven
- Electric pumps for diesel, also in kits with hoses and nozzle
- Tanks with electric pump for refuelling on site
- Automatic dispensing nozzles
- Hoses and filters for suction
How to choose
First of all the liquid to be pumped: seals and materials must be compatible with diesel, oil or chemicals. Then the quantity to be moved, which points towards a manual or electric pump, and the power source available, mains or battery. Always check the data sheet for the intended use with the liquid chosen.

Frequently asked questions: Pumps and Engine-Driven Pumps for Special Liquids
How do I transfer diesel without an electric pump?
A lever or hand transfer pump lets you move diesel from a drum or jerrycan without power. In this collection you will find the Fervi P024/06 lever pump and the P 490 polypropylene lever pump. Transfer is slower but controlled, and the tool should be chosen according to the quantity to move and the type of container.
Which drill pump is suitable for transferring liquids?
A drill pump attaches to the drill chuck and draws the liquid in through rotation, which is useful for occasional transfers of oil or fuel. It is quicker than a lever pump and is used with a drill you already have. Check that the drill has the speed and attachment the pump requires before starting.
Which 12 V diesel pump suits a van or tractor?
12 V or 12/24 V pumps connect to the vehicle battery and are used to transfer diesel on vans, tractors and work vehicles. In this collection you will find complete kits with hoses and nozzle, convenient for refuelling vehicles or small tanks. Check the vehicle's system voltage, because the 12/24 V model covers both.
Automatic or manual diesel nozzle: what is the difference?
An automatic nozzle generally shuts off the flow by itself when the tank is full, reducing waste and the risk of overflow. A manual nozzle requires you to check the level and stop the flow with the lever. For refuelling vehicles or small tanks the automatic nozzle is more practical and safer.
Which liquids must not be transferred with a diesel pump?
Each pump is designed for a specific type of liquid, so check on the data sheet which fluids it accepts. A diesel pump should not be used for petrol or solvents without checking, because seals and hoses may not be compatible. For chemical or corrosive liquids choose a specific model and ask the manufacturer for advice.
Self-priming pump or lever pump: when should I choose the first?
A self-priming pump draws the liquid up by itself on start-up, even if the hose is not full, and suits drawing from a low drum or a tank. A lever pump is simpler and manual, suited to transferring small quantities. Choose according to the distance and height difference between the containers.
What is an oil or petrol extractor used for?
An oil or petrol extractor draws the liquid out of a tank through a tube inserted into the filler neck, without needing to lift the container. It is used for oil changes or to empty a vehicle's tank. Use it with a suitable collection container, in a well-ventilated area, away from flames.
