What it is

The Fervi P058/02.25 parallel-shank twist drill bit, with a diameter of Ø 2.25 mm, is a cutting tool that complies with DIN 338. The titanium coating and the HV 740-780 hardness improve edge retention and abrasion resistance, while the 135° point angle ensures a precise start and steady drilling. The product is certified Italian-made and complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, with CE marking.

What it is for

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
