What it is
Threaded rod Fis A grade 5.8 Fischer is a threaded anchoring element designed for use with Fischer chemical anchoring systems. It holds the European Technical Assessment ETA 02/0024 and, in the size considered, requires a drill hole diameter d0 of 8 mm; it is supplied in boxes of 20 pieces.
Threaded rod is steel rod threaded along its entire length which, with nuts, washers and connectors, is used to make tie rods, hangers and chemical anchor fixings.
What it is for
Used for anchoring shelves, brackets and structures to walls, for chemical anchoring, where the load or edge distance rules out a mechanical anchor and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.
How to use it
Cut to length with a hacksaw or angle grinder and clean up the thread with a file or by running a nut over it. Screw it into couplers and connectors or set it in the hole with chemical anchor, then tighten with a nut and washer. Choose the property class and finish, zinc-plated or stainless, according to the load and environment.
