A fixing lug is a metal bracket, bent or pointed, that is fixed to the window frame and anchored in the wall to hold the frame in the opening.

What it is for

Used for general-purpose fixing into masonry, concrete and timber and in masonry work, from laying blocks to filling chases.

How to use it

Fix the lug to the frame with screws at regular intervals, after setting the frame square and plumb in the opening. Then anchor the tip in the masonry with mortar or a wall plug. Check that the lug is not bent and does not obstruct the movement of the leaf.
