Compact universal saw 12V – bare tool, DeWalt DCS312N-XJ

What it is

The DeWalt DCS312N-XJ compact 12V reciprocating saw is offered as a bare unit, ideal for those who already own DeWalt batteries. Weighing 1.38 kg and measuring 122 mm in height by 308 mm in length, it is designed for one-handed cutting in tight spaces. It reaches a no-load speed of 0-2800 rpm, with a 16 mm stroke, and offers a cutting capacity of up to 90 mm in timber and PVC and 40 mm in steel sections and pipes. The stated power is 1400 W, with a 12 V battery. The vibration emission value when cutting panels is 5.7 m/s² (uncertainty K 1.6 m/s²).

How to use it

Fit the blade suited to the material in the quick-release holder and clamp the workpiece. With the reciprocating saw, rest the shoe against the workpiece before starting and hold the machine with both hands; with the jigsaw, rest the base plate on the workpiece and follow the line without forcing. Before cutting into walls or floors, make sure there are no cables or pipes.
