SDS-plus XLR full-head bit 12x160x100mm, multipack, DeWalt DT8971-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT8971-QZ drill bit is a percussion tool with an SDS-Plus shank for drilling concrete. With a diameter of 12 mm, an overall length of 160 mm and a working length of 100 mm, it is designed for large-section fixings; the four-flute geometry aids debris removal and the head with carbide tip ensures decisive bite and wear resistance. The reduced-vibration technology improves comfort, while the weight of about 1 kg ensures stability in use. It is supplied in a multi-pack of 10 pieces.

How to use it

Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
