SDS-plus Extreme bit 6x460x400mm DeWalt DT9518-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT9518-QZ is a 6 mm diameter SDS-Plus Extreme bit designed for deep drilling in concrete. With a working length of 400 mm, it is the longest version in this diameter, ideal when through holes or particularly deep holes are required. The twin-flute geometry, two-cutting-edge head and reinforced core promote fast dust removal and more stable drilling even over long strokes, reducing operator effort.

A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.

What it is for

Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.

How to use it

Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
