What it is
The DeWalt DT9593-QZ drill bit from the SDS-Plus Extreme line has a diameter of 18 mm and a working length of 950 mm, among the longest in the range, for drilling concrete with SDS-Plus rotary hammers. The head with carbide tip ensures wear resistance in abrasive materials, while the SDS-Plus shank ensures a quick fit and effective transmission of percussion energy. The considerable length makes it possible to reach difficult spots without extensions.
A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.
What it is for
Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.
How to use it
Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
