SDS-plus bit 5mm DeWalt DT9662-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT9662-QZ SDS-Plus drill bit is a small-diameter tool of 5 mm, with an overall length of 110 mm and 50 mm of usable working length. The carbide-insert head and 2-cutter geometry make it suitable for hammer drilling in concrete, while the SDS PLUS shank allows an immediate fit in rotary hammers and hammer drills.

A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.

What it is for

Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.

How to use it

Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
