What it is
The DeWalt DWHT42525-0 torpedo level is a compact levelling tool, with an aluminium body and a length of 165 mm that makes it a handy accessory suited to tight spaces. Fitted with 3 vials, it allows horizontality, verticality and intermediate inclinations to be checked quickly, offering a clear reading directly on site.
A torpedo level is a short, compact spirit level, often magnetic, for checking level, plumb and angles in tight spaces and on pipes, boxes and profiles.
What it is for
Used for levelling surfaces and structures and for setting out, for measuring on site and in the workshop and in masonry work, from laying blocks to filling chases.
How to use it
Place the level on the clean workpiece; magnetic models hold on their own to steel pipes and profiles, leaving your hands free. Use the V-groove in the base to centre the level on pipes and round bars. Read the vial by looking straight at it and check calibration by turning it through 180° on the same spot. Protect it from impacts and wipe off any metal filings picked up by the magnet.
