Smartflex Classic flap disc Fervi DF2100.114

What it is

The flap disc Smartflex Classic Fervi DF2100.114 is an industrial zirconia abrasive with a diameter of Ø 115 mm and 60 grit, suited to work between heavy grinding and finishing on metals. The tough, durable zirconia ensures stable performance even under stress on steel and ferrous metals.

A flap disc is an abrasive made of overlapping cloth flaps, on a disc for angle grinders or on a shank for straight grinders, that roughs down and finishes metal and wood.

What it is for

Used for sanding metal, from roughing to finishing, for deburring metal after cutting and drilling and for grinding and cleaning up weld seams and burrs.

How to use it

Fit the disc on the angle grinder, or insert the shank-mounted flap wheel in the collet of the straight grinder or drill, observing the maximum speed. Work with light pressure at a slight angle, keeping the tool moving so as not to overheat or mark the workpiece. Progress from coarse to fine grits for finishing, and replace the disc when the cloth is worn down to the backing.
