What it is
The Fervi 2/1A40 taper shank milling cutter holder is a machine tool accessory designed to hold Morse taper (MT) shank milling cutters on milling machines and machining centres. Made in Italy with certified production, it has an ISO 40 taper conforming to DIN 69871/A and is suitable for rotation speeds of up to 12,000 rpm, for a precise, stable fit.
These are chucks with a tapered shank, often Morse taper, that hold milling cutters or drill bits and fit into the taper of the machine tool.
What it is for
Used for milling faces, shoulders and slots on machine tools and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.
How to use it
Clean the taper and the socket thoroughly of oil and swarf, then insert the shank with a slight twist and a firm push so that the taper seats. Tighten the tool with the specified key or drawbar. To remove it, use the proper tool, without striking the chuck.
