Mini flap disc Fast Lock Fervi MFD075/040Z

What it is

The Fervi MFD075/040Z Fast Lock mini flap disc is an abrasive with a Fast Lock quick-change system, designed for fast mounting and replacement on the machine. With a diameter of Ø 75 mm, zirconia abrasive cloth and grit 40, it delivers aggressive stock removal over a larger working surface, suited to removing material, burrs and weld beads. It is made in Italy with certified production and complies with Machinery Directive 2006/42/EC, with CE marking.

A flap disc is an abrasive made of overlapping cloth flaps, on a disc for angle grinders or on a shank for straight grinders, that roughs down and finishes metal and wood.

What it is for

Used for sanding metal, from roughing to finishing, for deburring metal after cutting and drilling and for grinding and cleaning up weld seams and burrs.

How to use it

Fit the disc on the angle grinder, or insert the shank-mounted flap wheel in the collet of the straight grinder or drill, observing the maximum speed. Work with light pressure at a slight angle, keeping the tool moving so as not to overheat or mark the workpiece. Progress from coarse to fine grits for finishing, and replace the disc when the cloth is worn down to the backing.
