Set of hex keys Fervi 0090

What it is

The Fervi 0090 hex key set is a range of Allen keys with a hexagonal section in sizes 1.5 - 2 - 2.5 - 3 - 3.5 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 8 - 10 mm, intended for tightening and loosening socket head screws. It is a compact, lightweight set, with a gross weight of 0.21 kg and a pack size of 180x80x20 mm, handy to keep always available on the bench or in the toolbox.

A hex key is an L- or T-shaped male key, hexagonal or Torx, that fits into the recess in the screw head to tighten or loosen it.

What it is for

Used for assembly work and for tightening nuts and bolts where torque must be accurate and repeatable.

How to use it

Choose the exact size and profile of the recess and insert the key fully so as not to damage the head. To break loose or tighten, put the short arm in the screw and lever on the long arm; for fast driving or awkward spots, use the long arm or the ball end. Do not extend the leverage with tubes, and replace the key when its edges are rounded.
