Set of coloured hex keys with ball end Fervi 0545/EF

What it is

The Fervi 0545/EF colour-coded ball-end hex key set is a range of Allen keys in sizes 1.5 - 2 - 2.5 - 3 - 4 - 5 - 6 - 8 - 10 mm, fitted with a ball end and colour coding. The ball end lets you drive screws even with the key angled to the screw axis, making it easier to reach awkward positions, while the colours allow instant recognition of the size. The set has a gross weight of 0.37 kg and a pack size of 260x100x30 mm.

A hex key is an L- or T-shaped male key, hexagonal or Torx, that fits into the recess in the screw head to tighten or loosen it.

What it is for

Used for assembly work and for tightening nuts and bolts where torque must be accurate and repeatable.

How to use it

Choose the exact size and profile of the recess and insert the key fully so as not to damage the head. To break loose or tighten, put the short arm in the screw and lever on the long arm; for fast driving or awkward spots, use the long arm or the ball end. Do not extend the leverage with tubes, and replace the key when its edges are rounded.
