What it is
Mechanical gripper Probst BSZ-KH for New Jersey type concrete barriers, in two versions: BSZ-KH-6.0 with a grip from 150 to 210 mm, a dead weight of 460 kg and a maximum capacity of 6,000 kg, and BSZ-KH-7.5 with a grip from 180 to 240 mm, a weight of 580 kg and a capacity of 7,500 kg. It grips the barriers without leaving marks on the concrete and has slim arms that also fit between adjacent elements.
A lifting clamp is an attachment for cranes, excavators or paving machines that grips bricks, blocks, panels and precast concrete units to lift and lay them.
What it is for
Used for handling materials on site, for road safety and the protection of people working on the road and for lifting loads, with accessories rated for the weight involved.
How to use it
Choose the clamp according to the shape, size and weight of the unit and check that the weight of the load plus that of the clamp is within the carrier's capacity. Centre the clamp on the load, close the grip and lift a few centimetres to check the hold before moving it. No one must stand under the load; inspect jaws, rubber pads and pins regularly.
