What it is for
Used in masonry work, from laying blocks to filling chases, for laying kerbs and for floor laying, from the screed to the finish.
How to use it
Before using a level, check its calibration by taking a reading, turning it through 180° on the same spot and reading again: the two readings must match. To measure, place the tool on clean surfaces and read the bubble or scale from directly in front. To mark out, stretch the line taut or mark with the point along a fixed reference. After use, clean off mortar and dust and store the tools without knocking them.
