What it is
The Fervi P023/03.00C is a straight-shank twist drill bit in the short series, with a diameter of Ø 3.00 mm and made to DIN 1897. The reduced length typical of this series gives the tool greater rigidity and less flexing, while the 135° point angle ensures precise centring and a clean start even at small diameters.

What it is for
Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.
How to use it
Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
