Auger bits for wood DeWalt DT4636-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT4636-QZ is a wood auger bit of 12 mm diameter, with a working length of 280 mm and an overall length of 380 mm. This combination makes it ideal for deep drilling in wood, where great thicknesses must be reached without deviating from the path; the extended spiral keeps the channel clear, easing chip removal.

A wood drill bit is a brad-point, auger, spade or Forstner bit that drills clean, accurate holes in solid wood, panels and chipboard.

What it is for

Used for drilling wood and panels.

How to use it

Place the centre point on the mark and start at low speed; always use large-diameter spade and Forstner bits at reduced speed. To avoid breakout, rest the workpiece on a piece of scrap wood or finish the hole from the opposite side. Use extensions for deep holes, locking them by tightening the screw firmly.
