What it is

The DeWalt DT4648-QZ is a wood auger bit with a working length of 280 mm and a total length of 380 mm, designed for deep drilling in timber elements. The elongated profile makes it possible to reach great thicknesses while keeping a precise path, while the spiral geometry carries the chips out of the hole, reducing the risk of clogging as the bit advances.

How to use it

Place the centre point on the mark and start at low speed; always use large-diameter spade and Forstner bits at reduced speed. To avoid breakout, rest the workpiece on a piece of scrap wood or finish the hole from the opposite side. Use extensions for deep holes, locking them by tightening the screw firmly.
