Extreme spade bit DeWalt DT4776-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT4776-QZ Extreme spade bit is a drilling accessory for wood, with a diameter of 35 mm and a length of 152 mm. Supplied as a single piece, it makes large-section holes, typical for the passage of pipes or conduits or for creating recesses in timber elements. The spade shape promotes fast cutting and stable guidance as it advances.

A wood drill bit is a brad-point, auger, spade or Forstner bit that drills clean, accurate holes in solid wood, panels and chipboard.

What it is for

Used for drilling wood and panels.

How to use it

Place the centre point on the mark and start at low speed; always use large-diameter spade and Forstner bits at reduced speed. To avoid breakout, rest the workpiece on a piece of scrap wood or finish the hole from the opposite side. Use extensions for deep holes, locking them by tightening the screw firmly.
