Extreme spade bit DeWalt DT4783-QZ

What it is

The DeWalt DT4783-QZ Extreme spade bit is a drilling accessory for wood with a diameter of 14 mm and a length of 406 mm. The combination of a small section and extended length makes it ideal for making deep, through holes for the passage of cables and small pipes through beams and thick timber structures. It is supplied as a single piece.

A wood drill bit is a brad-point, auger, spade or Forstner bit that drills clean, accurate holes in solid wood, panels and chipboard.

What it is for

Used for drilling wood and panels.

How to use it

Place the centre point on the mark and start at low speed; always use large-diameter spade and Forstner bits at reduced speed. To avoid breakout, rest the workpiece on a piece of scrap wood or finish the hole from the opposite side. Use extensions for deep holes, locking them by tightening the screw firmly.
