What it is
The DeWalt DT9601-QZ is an SDS-Plus bit from the Extreme series with a diameter of 20 mm and a working length of 950 mm, among the longest in the range. The carbide grit head and two-cutting-edge geometry (2 cutters) are designed to drill concrete with consistent progress, while the SDS-Plus shank ensures quick changes and a firm hold on compatible rotary hammers.
A masonry bit is a carbide-tipped bit for drilling concrete, brick and stone with a hammer drill or rotary hammer.
What it is for
Used for drilling reinforced concrete, in hammer or rotary hammer mode and for drilling solid and hollow masonry, clay brick and blocks.
How to use it
Choose the machine's shank type (straight, SDS-Plus or SDS-Max) and the diameter required by the wall plug. Start the hole at low speed, then engage hammer action, holding the bit square to the surface and without forcing, withdrawing it frequently to clear the dust. Clean the dust out of the hole before inserting the plug.
