Smartflex Classic flap disc Fervi DN2100.115

What it is

The flap disc Smartflex Classic Fervi DN2100.115 is a Ø 115 mm flap disc with 80-grit zirconia cloth, suited to fine smoothing and careful preparation of metal surfaces. The 80 grit, combined with the toughness of zirconia, ensures a uniform finish and good durability.

A flap disc is an abrasive made of overlapping cloth flaps, on a disc for angle grinders or on a shank for straight grinders, that roughs down and finishes metal and wood.

What it is for

Used for sanding metal, from roughing to finishing, for deburring metal after cutting and drilling and for grinding and cleaning up weld seams and burrs.

How to use it

Fit the disc on the angle grinder, or insert the shank-mounted flap wheel in the collet of the straight grinder or drill, observing the maximum speed. Work with light pressure at a slight angle, keeping the tool moving so as not to overheat or mark the workpiece. Progress from coarse to fine grits for finishing, and replace the disc when the cloth is worn down to the backing.
