What it is

The Fervi 0460 random orbital air sander is a compressed-air tool with a 150 mm (6") backing pad and integrated dust extraction, designed for fine sanding and surface finishing. The small 2.5 mm (3/32") orbit favours precision sanding, with a maximum operating speed of 10500 rpm and an operating pressure of 6 bar / 90 psi. Estimated air consumption is 3 SCFM (85 L/min) with a 1/4" inlet, while the length of 200 mm and the net weight of 1 kg ensure easy handling.

An orbital or random orbital sander is an electric, cordless or air tool that oscillates an abrasive pad to sand wood, paint, filler and metals.

How to use it

Apply a disc of the appropriate grit to the hook-and-loop pad, lining up the holes for dust extraction, and connect a dust extractor or collection bag. Rest the sander on the surface before starting it and move it in criss-cross passes, letting the weight of the tool do the work. Work through the grits progressively, from coarsest to finest, wearing a dust mask.
