Extra-long-series cylindrical twist drill bit Fervi P023/02.00L2

What it is

The Fervi P023/02.00L2 extra-long-series straight-shank twist drill bit has a diameter of Ø 2 mm and is made of steel with a hardness between 770 and 830 HV. Belonging to the extra-long series, it offers a usable length that allows deep drilling at small diameter; the 135° point angle ensures an accurate start and good centring control despite the very small diameter.

A metal drill bit is an HSS or cobalt twist drill, with a straight or taper shank, for drilling steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
