Extra-long-series cylindrical twist drill bit Fervi P023/02.00L3

What it is

The Fervi P023/02.00L3 is a straight-shank twist drill bit from the extra-long series, with a diameter of Ø 2 mm, made of steel with a hardness of 770 to 830 HV. The generous length of this version makes it ideal for reaching particularly deep holes at very small diameters, while the 135° point angle ensures precise centring and reduces the tendency to slip at the start of the hole.

A metal drill bit is an HSS or cobalt twist drill, with a straight or taper shank, for drilling steel, non-ferrous metals and plastics.

What it is for

Used for drilling steel, stainless steel and aluminium, on a pillar drill or with a hand-held drill and in workshop machining of steel, aluminium and alloy parts.

How to use it

Clamp the workpiece in a vice, mark the centre and set the speed for the diameter and material: low for hard steels and large diameters, higher for aluminium and plastic. Lubricate with cutting oil on steel; on plastic, reduce the pressure as the bit breaks through to avoid chipping. Insert taper-shank drills into the pillar drill's spindle taper and remove them with a drift.
