What it is

The sleeve, or protective cover, is a cut- and wear-resistant fabric covering that is slipped or wrapped onto the sling at the point where it touches edges or rough surfaces.

What it is for

Used for handling materials on site and for lifting loads, with accessories rated for the weight involved.

How to use it

Slip or wrap it onto the sling before slinging the load, positioning it at the point of contact with the edge. Check that it is clean and free of cuts or burns, and replace it when worn. It does not increase the rated load of the sling nor replace the inspection of the sling.
