What it is

The ResiTHERM 16 threaded rod kit by Unifix (code M16X385) is the professional solution for stand-off fixings on insulated facades, designed to support heavy loads in building and industrial settings. Plasterboard and insulation fixings are fixings that open out behind the board or hold insulation panels in place, for fixing to hollow walls and ETICS insulation systems.

What it is for

Used for anchoring shelves, brackets and structures to walls, for chemical anchoring, where the load or edge distance rules out a mechanical anchor and for installing building services and plant.

How to use it

Drill the board with a suitable bit or screw the self-drilling plug in directly, without hammer action. Insert the fixing and tighten it until it opens out behind the board, without overtightening so as not to break through the plasterboard. For insulation, drill through to the load-bearing substrate and insert the fixing flush with the panel, using the specified setting tool.
