What it is
The DuoTec nylon toggle fixing from Fischer is a plug designed for anchoring in plasterboard panels and sheets, using a toggle mechanism that distributes the load behind the board. It requires a drill hole diameter d0 of 10 mm and has a fixing length of 50 mm, with a minimum panel thickness of 10 mm. It accepts screws with a diameter ds of 4.5 to 5.0 mm and has an M6 thread. Made of nylon, it is supplied in boxes of 25 pieces.
Plasterboard and insulation fixings are fixings that open out behind the board or hold insulation panels in place, for fixing to hollow walls and ETICS insulation systems.
What it is for
Used for anchoring shelves, brackets and structures to walls and for fixing into plasterboard and lightweight partitions.
How to use it
Drill the board with a suitable bit or screw the self-drilling plug in directly, without hammer action. Insert the fixing and tighten it until it opens out behind the board, without overtightening so as not to break through the plasterboard. For insulation, drill through to the load-bearing substrate and insert the fixing flush with the panel, using the specified setting tool.
