What it is

The DeWalt XR 18V drywall sander is fitted with a 225 mm disc and delivers 710 W of power with adjustable speed from 700 to 1200 rpm, to adapt material removal to the finish required. Cordless and CE marked, it weighs 3.9 kg and has an extension that takes the operating length from 125 to 160 cm, so that tall walls and ceilings can be reached easily. It is supplied in a carry case.

The wall sander is an electric machine with an abrasive backing pad, often mounted on a telescopic pole, which sands plasterboard, fillers and plaster on walls and ceilings.

Used for sanding surfaces, as preparation or as a finish, for sanding surfaces before treatment and for preparing surfaces before treatment.

How to use it

Fit the abrasive disc of the suitable grit to the hook-and-loop backing pad and connect a vacuum cleaner for the dust. Rest the pad flat against the wall and move the machine in regular passes, without stopping in one spot so as not to create hollows. Work with a dust mask and goggles and change the disc when it no longer removes material.
