What it is

The DeWalt DE6258-XJ collet has a diameter of 12 mm and is designed specifically for the DW622 router. It acts as the clamping element for the cutter shank, ensuring a firm, concentric grip for precise, vibration-free routing. How to use it

Choose a collet with a diameter equal to that of the cutter shank and suited to the machine. Clean the seat, fit the collet, insert the shank and tighten the nut with the spanners, with the machine disconnected. Never tighten the collet without a cutter in it, and replace it if it is deformed or marked, because the cutter could vibrate or slip.
