Insulation fixing screw FID-Z Fischer

What it is

The Fischer FID-Z external insulation screw is a fixing dedicated to external thermal insulation (ETICS) systems. It has a screw length ls of 65 mm, allows a maximum fixture thickness t fix of 3 mm, requires a 10 mm hole in the object to be fixed and is driven with a TX30 tool drive. It is supplied in a pack of 50 pieces.

Plasterboard and insulation fixings are fixings that open out behind the board or hold insulation panels in place, for fixing to hollow walls and ETICS insulation systems.

What it is for

Used for general-purpose fixing into masonry, concrete and timber and for mechanical fixing of structures and components to walls, ceilings and floors.

How to use it

Drill the board with a suitable bit or screw the self-drilling plug in directly, without hammer action. Insert the fixing and tighten it until it opens out behind the board, without overtightening so as not to break through the plasterboard. For insulation, drill through to the load-bearing substrate and insert the fixing flush with the panel, using the specified setting tool.
