Threaded rod kit, M16x300, CSC Edilizia 419A

What it is

The CSC Edilizia 419A M16x300 threaded rod kit is a set of fixing elements for lifeline systems, consisting of rods with an M16x300 mm thread in steel of strength class 8.8, one of the most widely used for structural applications thanks to its high load capacity. The kit, weighing 1.90 kg, is manufactured to the general tolerances of the UNI-ISO 2768 standard and supplies the threaded elements needed to anchor the components to the substrate.

Threaded rod is steel rod threaded along its entire length which, with nuts, washers and connectors, is used to make tie rods, hangers and chemical anchor fixings.

What it is for

Used as an anchor point in fall protection systems, for chemical anchoring, where the load or edge distance rules out a mechanical anchor and for structural fixings, where the fixing is load-bearing and must be calculated.

How to use it

Cut to length with a hacksaw or angle grinder and clean up the thread with a file or by running a nut over it. Screw it into couplers and connectors or set it in the hole with chemical anchor, then tighten with a nut and washer. Choose the property class and finish, zinc-plated or stainless, according to the load and environment.
