What it is
The backflow-prevention / anti-rodent chamber is a device installed in line on the drain pipe that prevents backflow from sewer mains and stops animals from coming back up, protecting premises from flooding; suitable for designers, installers and plant managers in residential and commercial settings. In the Rototec version the body is one-piece LLDPE with PVC inlet/outlet stubs and gaskets; the non-return valve is inspectable, with a stainless steel flap and locking knob; DN 125 connection, Ø 300 inspection, PP35 extension (CC300 cover). Features section: "Device which, fitted on the drain pipe, prevents possible backflow from sewer mains, thus protecting premises from flooding. At the same time, the valve prevents animals (e.g. rats) from coming back up the drain pipes."
The inspection chamber is a prefabricated chamber, usually plastic and buried, inserted along the drain line to inspect, sample, separate or treat the water, each type having a specific function.
